Maiurno
Al-Amin Abu-Manga has gone to Wad Medani and to interview Fulɓe men about the history of Maiurno. These men are Abdurahman Ali Baabikir Jaafun, Abd al-Monein Ismail Abu-Bakr al-Qadi and Abu-Bakr Ahmad Orabi. Their account offers a Maiurno perspective on the relationship between Maiurno and Shaikh Talha. It also offers rich insight into the settlement history and the development of urban professions.
