We try to reach Arbore, but at some distance from it there is too much water on the road and on both sides of it. We rest in the vicinity of a Tsamako hamlet for some hours, but there are no signs of the water receding. Then we decide to try a more round-about westerly route over the Hamar mountains. We go to Qay Affer (Key Afer on the map) in Banna and try to go south from there, but tourists coming the other way say this is impossible because of the river crossings. At one such crossing, it is possible to descend from the other side, but from this side the ascent is too steep. Back to Woito (see map 12).
