Some 300 m to the south of the settlement of Maahi and Harun Bello, there is a group of Daneeji (Fulɓe with "white cattle"). This group comprises four households. Filmed the white cattle and photographed them on memory stick; topics include: collecting blood-sucking flies and heating butter to produce ghee.
These Daneeji are originally from Mali and are therefore included into the wider category 'Fallaata Malle'. The last place they stayed before coming to the Sudan was Nigeria. The man who tells me this is in his mid-forties. The migration took place when he was an infant.
